The wait is officially over. The sun is finally sticking around, the South Shore is waking up, and we are ready to trade the “April gray” for some genuine summer energy. We’ve been planning this throughout the spring, and now that May is actually here, it’s time to manifest those long-weekend vibes by sheer force of will.
We are thrilled to announce First Food Truck Fridays, a monthly takeover dedicated to local eats, small business hustle, and the best flavors in the region. We’ve got a plan that’ll make Summer 2026 taste a whole lot better.
Starting May 1st, every first Friday of the month, we’re turning our Kingston, Halifax, and Abington shops into the ultimate afternoon destination. Whether you’re stopping by to stock up for the weekend or just looking for a killer lunch, the trucks will be on-site from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM to help you kick off the month with a proper celebration.

We want to make your Friday errands a little more rewarding. All you have to do is stop by any of our three locations and make a purchase to receive a free meal ticket. Take your ticket out to the truck, grab your food, and enjoy the start of the weekend on us!
The May 1st Kickoff Lineup
We aren’t holding back for the season opener. We’ve secured three local heavy hitters to get things started across our locations:
- Abington (11 AM – 4 PM): Sarcastic Swine — BBQ for people who don’t take themselves too seriously.
- Halifax (11 AM – 4 PM): Loco Larry’s Tacos — Local legend serving up the bold street tacos and sweet churros.
- Kingston (11 AM – 3:30 PM): Mom on the Go — Bringing those famous gourmet grilled cheeses and comfort eats.

At its core, Elevated Roots is about more than what’s on the shelves; it’s about the people and the culture that make our local towns unique. We’ve always believed that when local businesses support one another, the whole community wins.
With First Food Truck Fridays, we wanted to create a platform to champion our fellow small business owners and talented local chefs. By hosting a rotating schedule of vendors across all three of our locations, we’re turning the first Friday of every month into a community block party that celebrates the hard-working local legends who keep us fed.

We’re talking everything from bold international street food and spicy global flavors to those essential comfort classics that just feel like a Friday. We’re hand-picking vendors who bring real passion to the plate, ensuring there’s always something new and delicious to discover.
