I Ran the Dirty Rabbit 5K on Edibles
Hey there — I’m Sheila, Director of Marketing at Elevated Roots Dispensary. I run to enjoy the outdoors, move my body, and practice the art of relentless forward motion. I’m not in it for the medals; it’s how I reset, breathe, and stay grounded. And after a long winter, the Dirty Rabbit 5K at Dirty Water Distillery in downtown Plymouth felt like the perfect way to welcome spring.
It was also my first 5K since the Dirty Turkey run at Dirty Water last November—so I figured, why not *elevate* my experience this time with a little cannabis?
Just before the race began, I took one of our favorite infused picks: the Kanha x ELEVATE Crystal Berry Nano Gummies. These delicious, fruity gummies pack a pr ecise dose of THC, CBG, and THCV—three cannabinoids that work together to offer an uplifting, functional, and energizing experience.
- THC provides a euphoric boost
- CBG supports a sense of calm and clarity
- THCV is known for its energizing, appetite-suppressing effects
Even better? These are nano-emulsified gummies, which means they’re fast-acting—typically kicking in within about 15 minutes. I timed it so that as the race was kicking off, my gummy was too.
Mile 1: We ran along Nelson Beach, and I felt relaxed, in rhythm, and completely present. No stress. No pressure. Just movement.
Mile 2: We cruised through North Plymouth, and things started to light up. My mood, my pace, the music in my headphones—it all clicked. I felt energized, upbeat, and according to my Garmin, mile 2 was my fastest tracked mile on my watch. Go figure.
Mile 3: As we looped back into Cordage Park for the finish outside Dirty Water Distillery, I felt fantastic. The cold, the puddles, the final push—all of it felt manageable. My heart rate was elevated but steady, and my headspace stayed clear. I crossed the finish line at a 10-minute mile pace. Not my fastest overall 5K, but I felt stronger at the end than I have in a bit! Not bad for not having run a full 5k in 6 months 😊
Major shout-out to the rest of the Roots crew who ran alongside me: Lacey, Bri, Dave, Allison, and DJ—you crushed it. And thank you to Winter, Jasmin & Kyle for cheering us on from the cold and rainy sidelines.
I didn’t run to compete—I ran with intention. And with a little plant-powered support, this 5K was everything I needed: fun, focused, and filled with forward motion.
Stay tuned for the next 5k at Dirty Water Distillery, or join the Dirty Water Run Club on Thursday nights in Plymouth! Get out there and get moving.
